Prime Image's patented Time Tailor series offers unique, proprietary technology to time reduce HD or SD video program content.
Broadcasters, cable and satellite providers, post production, and other commercial program distributors can increase revenue by creating additional advertising space without disrupting original program content. The Time Tailor provides a fast, high quality, low cost method of content time reduction with 15 years of proven results on movies, sitcoms, syndicated programs, and live broadcasts.
Time reduction occurs in real-time without pre-recording, pre-processing, video compression, or compromising the integrity of the program, using a process that is virtually undetectable to viewers. The amount of additional time created and the time duration over which it is created is programmable and controlled using the front panel of the Time Tailor, or a third party edit controller or play-out automation system .

Each Time Tailor model comes equipped with SDI/HD-SDI input and outputs with embedded audio support, AES/EBU digital audio inputs and outputs, and a genlock reference input (black-burst or tri-level).
CEA-608 (SD) and CEA-708 (HD) Closed Caption data are maintained throughout, all processed in real time, and accurately matched to the time reduced video.
The RS-422 serial port emulates a Sony BVW tape machine for easy interface with existing automation and edit control systems. An additional set of unique Prime Image commands allows full control and monitoring of all Time Tailor parameters.
Third parties provide powerful edit control and automation systems supporting capabilities that are specific to the Time Tailor functionality.
